The wine cellars of the Château de Cîteaux La Cueillette in Meursault are the oldest Cistercian vaulted wine cellars in Burgundy, dating back to the 11th century, as the origins of the Château go back to 1098.
Wine making in Burgundy has been traced back to the Celts and even before Roman times. The impressive history of the wine cellar reminds us of the historical heritage of this region.
